Membership

Becoming a Member

To launch a rocket on our field we must ensure that we comply with all requirements from Orange County and the National Association of Rocketry (NAR).

To ensure we meet the requirements of our County and the NAR we ask that everyone launching a rocket be a member of ROAR.

To fly with ROAR please obtain the following membership:

  1. ROAR membership: Dues are $20 per year per person ($15 for students). Collected in cash on launch day. Please fill out membership form below.
  2. Sports rocketry membership: Membership is required from either NAR or Tripoli. Select the right membership for you available on the following websites:

Student Group and Organization Launches

For groups of students or other organizations that would like to launch as a group, we ask that at least one member of the group must become a member of  ROAR and a member of the NAR. The membership holder may be a chaperone, an organization member (18 years or older), leader or parent.  This will allow all the members of your group to be able to launch their rockets as long as the membership holder is present for the launch.

Staying Up-To-Date

Our group holds monthly launches on the fourth Saturday of the month, but bad weather and high fire danger can sometimes cause us to change plans. To keep everyone informed of any changes, we have a newsletter that we use to send out notifications and keep our members up-to-date. We urge all potential and current members to sign up to be able to always be informed. Please signup on our form below.

If you would like to unsubscribe, you can do so at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of your newsletter.
